It is so intriguing how including the 4-5-6-style chord progression works so well in making any song almost immediately likeable / a favourite. No worries, dear fans of this progression, I’m a fan, too. Any progression with that ability deserves respect. Some examples which demonstrate this are (go listen): What Sarah Said - Death Cab for Cutie (intro + verse) Pachuca Sunrise - Minus the Bear (intro) Goodbye - Toe (almost whole song) Another Day (Revisited) - The Album Leaf (chorus) Devotion [among others] - Hillsong United (intro + verse) Planet - Kyte (maybe this should not be in this list, but it’s almost a 456’er.
